BEARCAT 200XLT CELLULAR FREQUENCY RESTORATION It is unlawful to monitor cellular telephone conversations. It is possible to monitor signals from the deleted ranges even without conversion. Simply add 21.7 MHZ to the deleted frequency and enter the higher (image) frequency. Reception is virtually identical in strength to that which would be heard on the deleted frequency. The frequencies deleted at the factory may be restored, but the procedure should not be attempted by anyone unfamiliar with electronic circuitry. No one anywhere, anytime, in anyway, etc... assumes any reponsibility for damage caused by this procedure.
UNIDEN/BEARCAT 200XLT SCANNER mods this is a conversation from a newsgroup about it many years ago.
The SONY 2010 has a design flaw that causes static electricity to easily blow the first RF stage.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAME TO ME FROM JOE LISMAN, K7PZH OF DOS PALOS, CA. HE GOT IT FROM RAY MILLS, W6WIM, ALSO OF DOS PALOS. THE INFORMATION SHEET WAS TITLED: FOUR ELEMENT QUAD - FULLERTON RADIO CLUB It is supposedly equal to a Cushcraft 11 element beam.
SKD/SKDC A Scheduling Program for EME This program is designed to help moonbounce (EME) operators schedule contacts with one another. The program is currently in use by VE7BQH (Lionel) on the 2 Mtr EME Net and K1RQG (Joe) on the 432 and Above EME Net. If you are interested in EME and would like some help getting started, please feel free to check in to either of these nets. Both nets operate Sat and Sun on 14.345. The 432 and Above starts at 1500 GMT and the 2 Mtr Net immediately afterwards (aprox 1700 GMT).

440-x.EXE is a stand alone compiled basic program designed to control the KENWOOD 440s (NOT 940) from the keyboard of an IBM-PC computer through serial ports COM1 or COM2.
440-3 (C) Douglas K. Heller Here is another Kenwood TS-440 control program.
THE 440 SPOILER: VERSION 1.01 The 440 Spoiler is a software package that lets amateur radio operators, short-wave listeners, and other people enjoy the full operating power of the Kenwood TS-440S transceiver. It provides TS-440S users with much more intelligent and convenient control of their transceivers than they can obtain by purchasing much higher-priced equipment such as the Icom IC-781 at 1/100th the price differential.
THE 440 SPOILER: VERSION 2.00 The 440 Spoiler provides you with the full operating capability of the Kenwood TS-440S amateur radio transceiver in the easiest and most convenient manner possible. It also provides you with a way to control the transceiver from across the room, across the house, down the tower, and across the nation

TS680s Squelch modifications
I have been in the rather unique position of recently owning both a Kenwood TS790 and a Yaesu FT736. I thought a couple of comparative observations might be useful to those considering both of these radios. The following observations are based on casual operating, not on scientific measurement.

This short program was written for use to change the forwarding frequency under computer control in HF RLI-BBS network. With executing shell proscess from RLI, any frequency may be able to chose for forwarding. The command set of TS-940 is applicable to TS-790 with no ploblem. It support COM1-COM6(A-F), port asignment is 4800, N,8,1.

º ANALOG-P was written with the general electronic hobbyist in mind, to º º assist in the designing of projects and experiments. To use this program º º properly, one should have at least a fundamental knowledge of basic º º electronic theory, as this program makes no attempt to teach this subject º º to the user. º º º º This FREE version is limited to the simple RESISTANCE, CAPACITANCE, and º º INDUCTANCE calculations. The complete Registered version will also do the º º RESISTOR/CAPACITOR, RESISTOR/INDUCTOR, and INDUCTOR/CAPACITOR calculations.

This is a review of the AOR AR1000 portable scanner (which is similar, if not identical to, the Fairmate HP100E). Comments and opinions in this review are those of the author.
Original AR1000 Frequency Range Modifications
Here are new versions of the AR-1000 reference guide. The differences are the fonts used. The AR1KQREF.PS file now uses the Bookman-light font, which my Pacific Page cartridge call Geometric 711 ITC Avant Garde, also referenced as Gothic.
So I got this great new scanner and the $300 software to go with it. The AR3000 is fantastic, the software leaves a lot to be desired and is vastly overpriced. The two routines in this package, AR3SORT and OUT2BANK are at least a partial answer to some problem. AR3SORT takes an exported log file from the AR3000 software and sorts it by various methods, the main being frequency of course. I have built in options to sort by a minimum number of "hits" on various frequencies as well as a minimum squelch setting. It will also build, at your option, a list of excluded frequencies for future sorts. The program is pretty much self explanatory. OUT2BANK takes the output from AR3SORT and puts it in a bank file for you, the bank file is of course user selectable (1-16).
This is the ARES database. Please read the summary called aresda01.crd before you you this. This particular system is configured to be used without the packet system. It is a standalone database. The files ARES01.REF, ARESDA01.PKO and ARESDA01.TEC al provide additional insight into how this system works.
